Abstract

This study aims to systematically review genetic association studies examining the relationship between genetic polymorphisms and athletic performance, injury risk, and psychological parameters in Turkish athlete populations. The review includes studies published between January 1, 2019 and April 1, 2026. Databases to be searched include PubMed, Web of Science, TRDizin, and DergiPark. The study follows PRISMA-ScR and PRISMA 2020 guidelines and includes methodological quality assessment using NIH and STREGA tools. Data synthesis will be conducted primarily using descriptive and comparative narrative analysis due to methodological heterogeneity across studies. The protocol is registered to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and methodological rigor.
